Realme 7 vs Realme 6 : is Realme 7 a upgrade or downgrade over Realme 6 ?

After almost 6 months of release of its predecessor realme 6/6 pro, realme launched its 7 series recently. Realme  7 is focussing budget segment of consumers while its pro version costs a little (about 5k) higher.

Specs-

 Realme 7 smartphone was launched on 3rd September 2020. 

The phone comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Realme 7 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Realme 7 runs Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. The Realme 7 supports proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Realme 7 on the rear packs a 64-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.3 aperture; a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a fourth 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 16-megapixel camera on the front for selfies, with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Realme 7 runs Realme UI based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card with a dedicated slot. The Realme 7 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Realme 7 measures 162.30 x 75.40 x 9.40mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 196.50 grams. It was launched in Mist Blue and Mist White colours.

Connectivity options on the Realme 7 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor. The Realme 7 supports face unlock.

 Realme 6 vs realme 7 :

Although Realme 7  is not very different from realme 6 , it is an significant upgrade. 

What is upgraded?

Design-  

It cant be said an upgrade but still camera module is changed little bit and pattern is also changed on its back. Built quality is same. 

 

Camera-

Camera is improved since the sensor used this time is Sony IMX 682.

Battery-

realme 7 comes with a 5000 mAh battery which is definitly a good upgrade from 4300 mAH in realme 6 .

Processor-

Processor used in realme 7 is a mediatek chipset G 95 . It  is similar to its G 90 T used in realme 6 , but it is slightly faster(by 7%).

 

Cooling System-

Realme 7 comes with carbon fibre cooling technology which was not present in realme 6.

 

Conclusion -

If your budget is around 15,000 i can surely recommend you realme 7. It is the best device in this price limit.

You could now avoid realme 6 since realme 7 is a better value for money now.
